This public event will be held at theIsabel Bader Theatre in Toronto and will bring leading experts in the fields of human rights and development together to discuss the future of aid in our conflicted world. 2011 was a year flanked by influential global events. International affairs were in the hot seat; as thought leaders, writers and politicians all looked at the role and impact of humanitarian efforts. As we enter a new year still reeling from the effects of natural disasters and the myriad of political uprisings and conflict that affected the world’s most vulnerable, The Future of Aid: Our Shared Responsibility will explore the challenges facing the humanitarian community through a lively discussion with expert panelists.

This event will draw on the insight and experience of the invited panelists, who will share what the aid sector is doing right - and wrong - and outline the steps needed to move towards more informed and responsible approaches to development. THE FUTURE OF AID: OUR SHARED RESPONSIBILITY
