The Documentary Media Society is a charity devoted to presenting independent and innovative documentaries to British Columbian audiences.
The society exists to educate the public about documentary film as an art form programs including:
DOXA Documentary Film Festival, a curated and juried festival with public screenings, panel discussions, public forums and educational programs;
Monthly screenings in cities and universities outside Vancouver and a satellite festival on BC's Sunshine Coast; and
Youth programming including Rated Y and Conexxions Youth Forum where young film makers create short film projects, meet with industry mentors, and screen their completed films at the DOXA festival.
