About

There are an estimated 20,000 feral, stray and abandoned cats living homeless in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality of Nova Scotia. By operating a Trap-Neuter-Return program, the Feral and Abandoned Cat Society (FAACS) is working to spay or neuter these homeless cats to help stabilize the population and improve quality of life for both the cats and the community. FAACS is a 100% volunteer-run charity that provides public education on the importance of spaying or neutering both pets and strays. Its volunteers also build insulated shelters for cats in need and distribute donated cat food to caretakers who feed feral colonies every day.
