About

I am a Canadian Paralympic Athlete in XC Ski. In 2009, doctors amputated my left arm, shoulder and part of my rib cage to stop the spread of bone cancer. Five years later, I competed in the Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi. I am forever grateful to life for this incredible opportunity to push my own limits and realize my full potential.

Today, I pursue my training efforts with the goal of representing Canada at the PyeongChang Games in 2018. The process is well underway; in March, I have successfully completed the first round of qualification for these Games, and this, without public funding support. Indeed, because the resources available to Paralympic athletes are scarce, I fund my own way to the Games.

Thanks to your donations of Aeroplan Miles, I will be able to train on-snow in Europe before the season starts and take part in the 2017-2018 World Cups and Paralympic qualification events. Every mile counts!

I thank you ahead for being part of this exciting adventure. More information available in French on carolinebisson.ca.
